Vermont Radio Group owner Ken Squier, and his daughter, Ashley, were at Thunder Road in Barre Town on Thursday. Squier has announced he is selling the Group’s radio stations, including WDEV in Waterbury, WLVB in Morrisville, and 101 The One, which serves the Rutland-Brandon-Middlebury area in addition to north-central Vermont. The announcement came in a release stating that station owner Ken Squier was relinquishing ownership of the business that has been family-owned for 86 years. Squier said he hoped to find a local buyer who would maintain the integrity and quality of the stations after the sale, but the process could take some time to complete.
