Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
VPR & Vermont PBS merged in July 2021 to become Vermont’s unified public media organization, serving the community with trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and rich educational programming that is accessible and inclusive to all.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of the senior leadership team, providing executive level management of annual and long-term financial plans for VPR/Vermont PBS. The CFO will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) providing advice and counsel. The CFO also will work closely with the leadership team on business operations, strategic planning, and financial management.
The CFO is passionate about the mission, aligned with organizational values, and an individual who provides strategic and tactical leadership for VPR/Vermont PBS’s long term financial sustainability, with direct responsibilities to VPR/Vermont PBS’s board of trustees.

Vermont PBS is seeking a Media Specialist/Traffic person to be responsible for on-air programming management and traffic duties, as well as managing media for broadcast and online. Duties include independent responsibility for preparing logs for channel playout, preparation, enhancement, and quality control of daily broadcast and digital video assets. This full-time position acts as a backup for master control that includes occasional holiday, evening, and weekend work.
The ideal candidate should be familiar with PBS programming, digital video formats, and possess an understanding of broadcast asset workflow, satellite downlinks, closed captioning, and digital (web and other media) distribution.

VPR seeks a creative, enterprising and thoughtful journalist to produce our successful local news shows. We’re looking for someone who is excited about new ways to engage our audience on air, digitally and through live events.
A producer should have a passion for conversations that deepen Vermonters’ understanding of their communities and hold people and organizations accountable. A producer must also bring a collaborative spirit and be equally adept at breaking news and creating sound rich field segments.
You must love the medium of public radio and talk shows, but you don’t need direct broadcast experience. We’re looking for at least two years of journalism experience, more preferred.

Philanthropy Operations Coordinator
Vermont Public Radio and Vermont PBS have an exciting opportunity for a friendly, well organized, systematic thinker who believes in the mission of public media and the power of philanthropy.
This position will work together with a growing Major Giving team to secure philanthropic support for the newly merged VPR and Vermont PBS.
The Philanthropy Operations Coordinator will help Vermont Public Radio and Vermont PBS implement a major giving program with a focus on mid-level giving and its important role in cultivating future major donors. By utilizing donor databases, and organizing outreach activities, the Coordinator will engage donors in the mission of public media and help foster philanthropic support.
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred and a minimum of two years of experience in development and/or major gifts fundraising or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent communications skills and familiarity with Raiser’s Edge or Salesforce donor management systems is a plus. Occasional travel throughout Vermont and surrounding regions is required.
