Graphic Artist/Promotion Producer

Local 44 WFFF and Local 22 WVNY, the FOX and ABC affiliates in Burlington, VT, have an immediate opening for a creative and energetic graphic artist/promotion producer.

In this role, you’ll create still and animated graphics, write and produce compelling news promos, and work with the Creative Services department on other projects as needed. This position requires strong creative writing, graphic design, and video production skills, as well as familiarity with lighting equipment, professional cameras, and Adobe Creative Cloud (particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator).

Essential Duties:

  • Create graphics and animations consistent with our on-air look
  • Assist members of the news team on the visual presentation of their stories
  • Work with the creative services director to write, shoot, and edit news promos
  • Create elements for other station projects as needed

Requirements and Skills:

Weekend Meteorologist/MMJ

WFFF/WVNY-TV in Burlington, VT is seeking a Weekend Meteorologist with a compelling on-air presence.  The weekend meteorologist will possess excellent on-air skills in addition to contributing to all our social media platforms.  Candidate will be able to produce news content and perform live shots for newscasts routinely.  Must possess reporting, shooting, writing, and editing abilities. Must have a degree in meteorology or related sciences.

Digital Reporter

Position Summary: The Digital Reporter should be a skilled writer who can craft headlines and content that provide value to the audience and driver user engagement.  The reporter will use data to make decisions about audience interest trends.  The reporter will be able to reach out to contacts, source the web and find information on social media to build stories that will be high performing across multiple websites.  While the reporter will largely work from a single space, the ability to take photos and create video is a plus.  A strong knowledge of social media platforms is expected.

Digital Sales Manager

The Digital Sales Manager (DSM) directly oversees the daily operations of the station’s digital advertising business and interacts with clients and advertising agencies to maximize digital revenue.

The DSM assists in hiring, training and developing Account Executives and collaborates with the DOS & LSM on digital sales.   

  • Develops and executes sales strategies which result in exceeding revenue targets in digital by vertical and by accounts
