Digital Media Specialist

Radio Vermont Group is seeking a highly motivated self-starter to fill the Digital Media Specialist role. This candidate would be responsible for communicating with the audiences of the Radio Vermont Group’s stations including WDEV (News/Talk), 101.7 WCVT Classic Hits Vermont (Classic Hits), and WLVB (Country). The candidate would help market the stations on social media and digital platforms and assist with on-air programming as needed. The candidate is also the head of Radio Vermont Group’s in-house video production, making engaging videos for advertising clients and the radio stations.

Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Social Media Platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Audition, or a willingness to learn them
  • Knowledge of Website Management (Particularly WordPress, Squarespace, SoCast, and Joomla)
  • Knowledge of video production, such as using a DSLR Camera, using lighting equipment and audio equipment, and flying a drone.

Core Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Maintain the Radio Vermont Groups social media presence, largely on Facebook and Instagram
  • Maintain the Radio Vermont Groups websites
  • Upload Documents to the FCC’s website as needed (Such as Program and Issues as well as Political File Documents)
  • Video Production
  • Uploading podcasts of daily radio shows
  • Managing the companies Microsoft Office 365
  • Managing the Trading Posts Online Marketplace orders, and keeping detailed notes on the whereabouts of inventory
  • Manage ads we place on behalf of other companies
  • Gathering Listenership Data monthly

Preferred Skills:

  • Commercial Drone Pilot’s License
  • Knowledge of Notion
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Management
  • Knowledge of placing ads on Facebook and Google Ads
  • An organized personality to keep on top of your own tasks, as well as able to help others stay organized with their tasks
  • Knowledge or ability to work with the Windows operating system
  • Knowledge of HubSpot or familiarity with CRM’s
  • Knowledge of Zapier or IFTT

Requirements:

  • Must commute to our office in Waterbury, VT
  • Will be required to do occasional in-state travel for video shoots
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Will be required to pack, lift, and move heavy video equipment (up to 25 lbs.)
