Chief Engineer Joe Tymecki of VPR will present an important EAS seminar: “EAS: I didn’t get the test, now what?” Do you know what to do if you don’t receive or send a weekly or monthly EAS test? Do you know how to tell if your gear is even operating OK? This workshop will go over a very high level outline of the Vermont state EAS plan and how the things generally work. We will dive in to (but not too deep) the Sage Digital Endec and go over the things you need to know how to check. Joe is a past recipient of the VAB’s Snyder-Teffner Award for excellence behind the scenes.

Those and other social media questions will be explored at our Social Media Roundtable. Members of the panel will include radio personality Sarah Spencer of Hall Communications, WCAX-TV social media strategist Audrey Ramsden and Radio Vermont social media director JD Green. Sarah, pictured here, is the owner of Got Clicks Marketing and has presented Facebook markeing strategies to the American Small Business Development Center.
The convention will conclude with the 2017 Commercial of the Year Awards luncheon. This prestigious contest is the only such competition in Vermont, and is designed to encourage and reward excellence in copywriting and production for radio and TV. We expect Governor Phil Scott will join us for a few remarks, schedule permitting.
