Dan Ruggles began his broadcasting career in 1948 in Massachusetts. He moved to Vermont in 1958 to purchase WSKI­-AM, Montpelier.  He provided stable leadership for the station, which had changed hands twice in two years.  He continued to operate WSKI until 1989.

Dan was a former Vermont State Senator representing Washington County, a past commissioner on the Vermont Public Service Board, a past President of the Barre VT Lions Club, a past chaiman of the Montpelier Red Cross,  a past fund chair of the Washington County United Way and a former President of the VAB.

Dan moved to Marblehead, MA in 1996 and passed away July 21, 2022 in Brooksby Village, MA.
