The Vermont Association of Broadcasters has agreed to help the Vermont Department for Children and Families (DCF) spread their message about the urgent need for new foster parents in the state. Member stations will be asked to run an announcement for DCF as part of the VAB’s NCSA program.
The NCSA program (“Non-Commercial Sustaining Announcements”) was created 30 years ago to allow state broadcasting associations around the country to help non-profit and governmental agencies to maximize their advertising budgets. Typically, the state associations guarantee at least a four-to-one return of airtime value versus dollars invested.
“We’re happy to help DCF during this time of unprecedented need,” said VAB Executive Director Jim Condon.
The :60 spot was produced on a volunteer basis by VAB Associate Member Eddie Garcia of Kestrel SoundWorks.
