Saturday, December 7th, the Vermont Association of Broadcasters celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the Hall of Fame & Awards Banquet at the Hilton Hotel in Burlington. A record 308 broadcasters and their guests enjoyed a spectacular evening of eating, drinking, socializing and recognizing excellence within Vermont’s broadcast community.

As part of the 25th Anniversary celebration, all 75 members of the VAB Hall of Fame were recognized for their contributions during a series of vignettes that played throughout the night. The 19 Hall of Fame members in attendance did the honors of introducing and passing out the winner’s awards.

Jack Donovan, Bruce James and Candis Leopold presented Magic 97.7 Night Show host Jon Francois the VAB’s inagural Rising Star Award.
Mark Brady, Ken Kasz, Tim Johnson and Louie Manno presented Star 92.9 (WEZF), 101.3 The Game (WCPV) & MeTV FM (WXZO) the Alan Noyes Community Service Award in recognition of their Christmas is for Kids campaign, which was accepted by Mary Cenci.
Joel Najman, George Commo and Dan Dubonnet presented VPR Director of Opertations Victoria St. John the Snyder-Teffner Award for excellence behind the scenes.
Ginny McGehee and Tom Messner presented NBC5 Newscast Director Tom Reed with a Distinguished Service Award.
Peter Martin, Ken Jarvis, Andy Potter and Sharon Meyer presented WCAX Anchor & Reporter Darren Perron the VAB’s Broadcaster of the Year award.
Jack Healey, Brian Collamore and Terry Jaye introduced Donnette Noble, who accepted former WSYB/WZRT Program Director and WJJR Owner Dick Noble’s induction into the Hall of Fame on his behalf.
Tom Beardsley and Brian Harwood introduced Jon Gailmor who wrote and performed a song about WLVB-FM Program Director & Morning Show Host Roland Lajoie before he accepted his induction into the Hall of Fame.
Tom Messner returned to the stage to present NBC5-TV Anchor & Reporter Stewart Ledbetter as he accepted his induction into the Hall of Fame!
